Sweeper Driver Location: Bishops Stortford & surrounding areas Salary: £37,000 per annum (rising to £39,500 after probation) Type: Permanent – PAYE About the Company Our client is a leading groundworks and concrete frame specialist, delivering projects valued between £1M and £50M across London and the South East. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and delivery, they are now seeking a reliable Sweeper Driver to join their team covering the Bishops Stortford area. The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining clean and safe roadways, gullies, and site areas to support ongoing construction activities. During quieter periods (such as the summer months), you may also assist with other site operations, including dumper or roller driving. Key Responsibilities: * Operate road sweepers safely and efficiently across multiple sites. * Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance. * Keep the sweeper and equipment clean, inside and out. * Plan and manage your daily workload to minimise disruption on-site. * Maintain accurate paperwork, timesheets, and maintenance logs. * Assist with other site duties when required (training provided). Requirements: * Valid HGV Licence and Driver CPC qualification (essential). * Good communication and timekeeping skills. * Physically fit and proactive with a strong work ethic. * Previous experience working on construction sites preferred. * Dumper or roller tickets desirable (training can be provided).
