The Surfacing Manager / Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of surfacing operations across site, overseeing multiple gangs and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate two surfacing teams, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme timelines, and quality standards.
- Oversee daily site operations, including planning works, allocating labour, plant, and materials to meet delivery targets.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments, maintaining a strong focus on health and safety throughout.
- Supervise site activities to ensure productivity, performance, and high standards of workmanship are consistently achieved.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including site engineers, subcontractors, and senior management, to ensure effective communication and smooth delivery of works.
- Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, permits, and quality documentation.
