Are you an experienced Site Agent or Site Manager looking for your next challenge across major highways and infrastructure projects? We are working with a leading civil engineering and surfacing contractor delivering a range of highway maintenance, resurfacing and civil engineering schemes throughout Cumbria, the North East and Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint experienced professionals to support a busy programme of works.

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in highway surfacing and asphalt operations. You will be responsible for managing resurfacing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

We are also looking for experienced civil engineering professionals with a proven track record of delivering highways and infrastructure projects. Experience managing drainage, earthworks, road construction, structures or general highway improvement schemes would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day site operations
  • Coordinating subcontractors, labour and plant
  • Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met
  • Monitoring programme and project delivery
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
  • Managing site records, reporting and project documentation
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager
  • Strong highways, surfacing or civil engineering background
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • SMSTS and CSCS preferred
  • Full UK driving licence

Package

Permanent: £45,000+ salary depending on experience, with additional benefits. Contract: Competitive day rate on an initial rolling monthly contract, with work expected to continue through to March next year.
