Our client is seeking an ambitious engineer to join their Hampshire-based team, delivering a wide variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in all aspects of site investigation and geotechnical engineering, with clear opportunities for professional development and progression.

Working alongside experienced engineers and geologists, you’ll play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of ground investigation projects, gaining exposure from initial site assessments through to final reporting and client delivery.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, taking responsibility for site investigations, project coordination and technical reporting.

Duties will include

  • Planning and managing ground investigation programmes.
  • Producing desk studies and carrying out site walkovers.
  • Overseeing intrusive site investigations and groundworks activities.
  • Coordinating laboratory testing and sample schedules.
  • Monitoring remediation and site-based works.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and technical assessments.
  • Producing factual and interpretative reports.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders throughout delivery.

About You

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have experience within geotechnical engineering, ground investigation, environmental consultancy or a related discipline.

You will ideally have

  • A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Around 5+ years’ industry experience.
  • Experience working on site investigation projects.
  • Strong technical reporting skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
