The Opportunity
My client, an independent Insurance Broker, are looking for a SME Account Executive to join a dynamic and welcoming team based in the heart of Birmingham. This is a key role within a well-established broking office, offering long-term progression and real opportunity to grow your own portfolio within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
You’ll be working across a range of commercial insurance lines, tailoring solutions to a variety of businesses – from local SMEs to more complex operations. What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a varied book of SME and mid-market clients across multiple sectors
- Handling both renewals and new business, with full ownership of the client journey
- Developing an in-depth understanding of your clients’ businesses, risks, and insurance needs
- Preparing and presenting tailored insurance programmes, using your market knowledge and access to insurer partners
- Delivering on renewal retention and growth targets, contributing to the wider team’s performance
- Conducting client meetings and insurer negotiations to secure competitive terms
- Managing your own diary, priorities, and pipeline with a high level of autonomy
- Keeping on top of compliance, CPD, and company policies – and ensuring client files are always audit-ready
