The Role

As Business Development Director, you will take ownership of new business growth and market positioning. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to convert insight into opportunity and build long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering a clear business development strategy
  • Identifying new markets, sectors and growth opportunities
  • Positioning the agency's proposition in innovative and compelling ways
  • Proactively winning new business through networking, partnerships and events
  • Leading pitches, proposals and commercial negotiations
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, prospects and internal teams
  • Ensuring smooth onboarding and handover of new clients

About You

You'll be a confident, commercially minded business developer with a strong understanding of digital marketing. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, ideally within a digital marketing agency
  • A strong network and excellent prospecting skills
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing trends and technologies
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Experience leading pitches and negotiating contracts
  • A strategic, analytical mindset with a results-driven approach
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities at pace
  • Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
