What You'll Be Doing:
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in managing and expanding existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for growth. You’ll leverage your background in science, publishing, or marketing to provide a consultative, value-driven approach to client engagement connecting customers with effective solutions and ensuring long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key client accounts, developing account plans and strengthening relationships at all organisational levels.
- Present and communicate the company’s value proposition effectively to senior decision-makers.
- Prospect and win new opportunities through a range of approaches including face-to-face meetings (international travel), virtual calls, and digital channels.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, and consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments such as Client Services and Editorial to maximise client satisfaction.
- Keep detailed and accurate records within CRM systems including Salesforce and Monday.com.
- Identify and act on upselling opportunities, feeding back market trends and client insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and meetings globally.

Essential:
- B2B sales experience in a consultative environment such as scientific publishing, marketing, events, or professional services.
- Proven track record of achieving significant annual sales targets (c. £900k+).
- Experience within or selling into the scientific or technical industries.
- Demonstrated success in account planning and strategic relationship management.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital platforms.
