Knowledge Officer / Manager – Quality & Risk Team

Bristol/Bath/Swindon (Hybrid, 2–3 days in office) | 💷 £40,000–£50,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

We’re working with a leading law firm to recruit a Knowledge Officer / Manager into their Quality & Risk Team. This is a standalone role, reporting directly to the Head of Quality & Risk, and offers the chance to shape how knowledge and legal information resources are managed across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and delivering the firm’s knowledge management strategy.
  • Managing legal information systems, intranet resources, and online platforms.
  • Leading a project on precedent management and implementing knowledge-sharing solutions.
  • Managing the information resources budget and relationships with suppliers.
  • Supporting fee-earners with research and promoting firm-wide knowledge sharing.
  • Training staff on online resources during induction and on request.
  • Overseeing a limited range of print resources.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in information services within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Ideally qualified with a CILIP-accredited degree in Information Science (or equivalent).
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with knowledge/case management systems.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker who can innovate, problem-solve, and take ownership.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Interest or experience in AI-assisted tools and change management.
