The Company: Our client is a rapidly scaling consumer-focused pet food brand, operating within a high-growth direct-to-consumer market. With significant expansion over recent years and ambitious plans ahead, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products through engaging, in-person customer experiences. Their field sales channel has grown substantially and continues to be a key driver of revenue. Following continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their Field Sales team with the addition of a Field Sales Manager.
The Role: As a Field Sales Manager, you will lead from the front in a highly dynamic, event-based sales environment. You’ll be responsible for driving performance at field events, managing and coaching Brand Ambassadors, and owning weekly sales results. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance personal sales performance with team development, ensuring high standards are maintained across all activities. There is a clear and fast-paced progression pathway, with high performers having the opportunity to step into more senior roles within a short timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead from the front at field events, driving customer engagement and conversions
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of Brand Ambassadors
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, using data to improve results
- Refine sales messaging and optimise conversion rates
- Manage event logistics, stock, and operational execution
- Motivate and inspire the team to consistently exceed targets
- Ensure high standards across all customer interactions and brand representation
- Adapt quickly to changing environments and event requirements
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a sales or field-based role, ideally with leadership responsibilities
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage customers and teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance and drive improvements
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Willingness to work weekends (typically 3 out of 4 per month)
Desirable:
- Experience in event sales, brand activation, or experiential marketing
- Previous experience managing or coaching a team
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills for tracking and reporting
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
