We’re working with a visionary non‑profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with disabilities. With a first‑of‑its‑kind inclusive leisure facility opening next year, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a mission‑driven team at a hugely exciting moment of growth and transformation.
As Business Development Manager, you’ll lead high‑value corporate fundraising, develop strategic partnerships, and help secure vital resources that will directly impact thousands of families.
What you’ll be doing:
- Securing, growing and managing high‑value corporate partnerships aligned to CSR and ESG goals.
- Building a well‑researched pipeline of five, six and seven‑figure prospects, including Charity of the Year opportunities.
- Generating both financial income and Gift‑in‑Kind/Pro Bono support to help deliver the organisation’s mission.
- Line managing two fundraising colleagues and supporting their development.
- Working closely with senior leadership to maximise commercial and strategic opportunities.
- Monitoring performance against a significant annual income target, with responsibility for helping to deliver around £500k in 2026 plus supporting over £600k in Gift‑in‑Kind contributions.
- Creating compelling proposals and presentations that translate the organisation’s work into impactful corporate engagement.
What you’ll need:
- Proven success securing and managing high‑value corporate relationships (five, six and seven figures).
- Experience working with C‑suite, CSR and ESG decision makers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Line management experience and a supportive leadership approach.
- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing a varied workload and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how corporates choose to partner with mission‑led organisations.
- Confidence, self‑motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A passion for creating inclusive, accessible opportunities for all.
