We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Casual Events Assistant to join our Events Team at Enable!

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Events Operations and Facility’s Manager and Duty Managers, the Events Assistant will support the delivery of a wide range of events including weddings, private functions, community and stakeholder events, as well as large-scale productions such as Battersea Park Fireworks, Battersea Park in Concert and the Christmas Pantomime. The role is focused on supporting the Events Team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused experiences, ensuring every event runs smoothly and that clients and guests receive a professional, welcoming and seamless service throughout their journey. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, including early mornings, late nights and weekend work. The Events Assistant will also support on health and safety compliance, supplier coordination and on-site delivery standards. The Events Team is a fast-paced, collaborative and solution-focused group who pride themselves on delivering exceptional events. We take a proactive, “can-do” approach and are committed to going the extra mile to exceed client expectations.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the set-up and breakdown of events across multiple venues and outdoor spaces
  • Perform Front of House, ushering and ticket checking duties in a welcoming and efficient manner
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, acting as a professional and approachable representative of Enable at all times
  • Support Duty Managers and event organisers to ensure events are delivered to a high standard and in line with client expectations
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, guests and suppliers on site, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and professionally
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure a smooth customer experience throughout the event lifecycle
  • Take ownership of the on-site customer experience, ensuring every client and guest interaction reflects Enable’s standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate suppliers during set-up and breakdown, ensuring compliance with venue rules and safety procedures
  • Support safe and efficient guest management, ensuring a positive experience from arrival through to departure
  • Ensure venues are presented to a high standard at all times, reflecting a professional and welcoming environment
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team, ensuring clear handovers and accurate sharing of event information
  • Assist with physical event setup where required and ensure all equipment is handled and returned appropriately
  • Complete End of Day reports (where required), accurately capturing any incidents, feedback or issues impacting the client experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within events, performance venues, or customer-facing environments
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating positive experiences
  • Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with clients, guests, suppliers and colleagues
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating or working alongside suppliers
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when required
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
