Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal in London

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal to join its busy Residential Property team in Central London .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional team.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day support to the conveyancing team and assist with the smooth progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting solicitors and fee earners with a varied residential conveyancing caseload.
• Opening and setting up new files and carrying out initial client due diligence.
• Preparing and issuing correspondence and legal documentation.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and other third parties.
• Obtaining and reviewing property searches and relevant documentation.
• Assisting with exchange and completion processes.
• Conducting post-completion administration, including registration and file closure.
• Updating clients regularly and providing a high standard of client care.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are progressed efficiently.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within residential conveyancing , ideally as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
• A good understanding of the residential property transaction process.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive and client-focused approach.
• The confidence to work independently while also contributing to a wider team.
