Are you a Conveyancing Paralegal looking for your next opportunity within a small, boutique law firm?
We are looking for an organised and motivated Conveyancing Paralegal to join a close-knit legal team in Hatfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with residential property experience who enjoys working in a supportive environment, building strong client relationships and playing an important role in the day-to-day running of a property department.
The Role
You will work closely with solicitors and fee earners, supporting residential property transactions from instruction through to completion and ensuring clients receive a high standard of service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with residential property sales and purchases, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Opening files, completing client onboarding and carrying out initial due diligence.
- Preparing and drafting conveyancing documentation.
- Obtaining property searches and assisting with replies to enquiries.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
- Keeping clients updated on the progress of their transactions.
- Monitoring deadlines and helping transactions progress smoothly.
- Assisting with exchange and completion.
- Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures.
- Providing general support to the property team as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a residential conveyancing department.
- A good understanding of the conveyancing process.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- A proactive, professional and team-focused approach.
