We are currently seeking experienced Site Engineers to work across multiple live schemes in Southend, Stevenage, Watford and Bovingdon. The role will involve a balance of setting out engineering and quality assurance, supporting the delivery of groundworks and infrastructure packages on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate setting out for groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads and associated infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain site QA documentation, including pre‑pour and post‑pour checks.
- Produce and maintain as‑built surveys and records.
- Check drawings, resolve discrepancies and raise RFIs / technical queries as required.
- Coordinate with Site Managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered to specification and programme.
- Ensure works comply with project specifications, drawings and health & safety standards.
- Maintain records for inspections, testing and handover documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or construction projects.
- Competent in both setting out and QA responsibilities.
- Experience using Leica or equivalent total station equipment.
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage engineering duties on site.
- CSCS card required.
- Own equipment advantageous and reflected in rate.
Package
£340.00 – £360.00 per day, dependent on experience. Enhanced rate available for engineers with own kit. Ongoing work available across multiple locations.
