Enable Resourcing is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement and provides an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial career on complex infrastructure and structural projects within a well‑established delivery team. You will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of major project packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with budget and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measurement and valuation of works
  • Preparation of applications for payment
  • Assessment of subcontractor accounts
  • Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and CVR preparation
  • Managing variations and supporting change control processes
  • Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
  • Maintaining commercial documentation and records
  • Assisting with subcontractor and client negotiations
  • Supporting final account preparation and agreement

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and commercial control across projects.

About You

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction
  • Exposure to major civils or structural projects (desirable)
  • Strong numerical and commercial awareness
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach
  • Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
