We are currently recruiting for multiple Project Engineers on behalf of a leading groundworks and civil engineering subcontractor delivering works at Port Talbot Port. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure and industrial project within one of the UK’s most important deep-water ports. Working as part of an experienced project team, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing engineering activities across a range of groundworks and civil engineering packages.

The successful candidates will have previous experience working for a groundworks or civil engineering subcontractor and will be confident operating within a fast-paced industrial construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day engineering activities across the project.
  • Coordinating site engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Managing site surveys, setting out information and as-built records.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design requirements and project programme.
  • Supporting site management with planning and sequencing of works.
  • Monitoring quality standards and engineering compliance.
  • Resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutions.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and operational teams.
  • Promoting high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer within groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, roads and external works.
  • Experience working for a groundworks or civil engineering subcontractor.
  • Ability to manage engineering activities across multiple work fronts.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • CSCS card as a minimum.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
