An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established highways and infrastructure contractor supporting the delivery of a significant highways project in North Somerset, with the commercial team operating from offices in Wiltshire.
The project forms part of a wider framework programme and includes highway improvements, road widening works, junction upgrades and associated civil engineering activities. This role offers long-term project security, strong commercial structure and a balance between project involvement and flexible working.
Role Overview
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of a highways project based in North Somerset, delivered under NEC forms of contract. You will be office-based in Wiltshire, working closely with site and operational teams, with regular site attendance as required. The role offers a mix of project ownership, commercial governance and collaborative working.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of a highways infrastructure project in North Somerset
- Administration and compliance with NEC contracts
- Cost forecasting, CVRs and cash flow management
- Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations
- Management of compensation events, variations and change control
- Subcontractor procurement, commercial management and final accounts
- Producing accurate commercial and financial reports
- Providing commercial support to delivery and site teams
About You
This role is suited to an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in highways or infrastructure delivery. You will ideally have:
- Background in highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
