An experienced Site Engineer is required for the extension of a large warehouse project in Ipswich. The role will involve managing all substructure and groundworks activities, with a strong focus on both setting out and quality assurance/control. The successful candidate will work closely with the site management team to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for substructure and groundworks works including foundations, drainage and associated infrastructure
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved construction information
  • Carrying out quality assurance and quality control checks, including inspections and completion of ITPs
  • Managing and maintaining accurate site records, as-built information and survey data
  • Providing engineering support to site management, subcontractors and groundworks teams
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues on site to maintain progress and quality standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements at all times

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or groundworks projects
  • Strong setting out experience on substructure and groundworks packages
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control on site
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
  • Competent in the use of surveying equipment and site engineering tools
  • CSCS Card required
