We’re working with a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering long-term infrastructure works within the Southern Water framework. They’re looking to bring in a Graduate or Apprentice-level Quantity Surveyor who is keen to learn, develop, and build a long-term career in the water sector. This is a genuine opportunity to work closely with an experienced Head of Commercial, gaining hands‑on exposure to projects and commercial management from day one.

The Role:

  • Supporting the commercial team across a range of water infrastructure projects
  • Assisting with cost reporting, valuations, and variations
  • Working with NEC forms of contract
  • Learning the full commercial lifecycle of civils projects
  • Building strong relationships with site and operational teams
  • Hybrid working, with flexibility based on output and trust

What They’re Looking For:

  • Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (or currently working towards)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Interest in civil engineering / infrastructure (water experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Basic understanding of NEC contracts (or eagerness to learn)
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
