Enable Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Civils to join a leading civil engineering contractor based in Central London. This role offers flexible office working alongside regular project and site engagement across high-profile infrastructure schemes.

You will play a key role in the commercial management of major civils packages, ensuring projects are delivered profitably, contractually compliant and aligned with programme objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full commercial responsibility from pre-construction through to final account.
  • Prepare and manage applications for payment.
  • Produce cost reports, forecasts and monthly CVRs.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement and account administration.
  • Negotiate subcontract terms and valuations.
  • Manage variations, compensation events and change control.
  • Administer NEC contracts and protect commercial position.
  • Support financial forecasting and risk management.
  • Attend commercial and progress meetings.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Support final account negotiation and settlement.
  • Mentor and develop junior commercial staff.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Senior Leadership to monitor financial performance and mitigate commercial risk across complex civils packages.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience administering NEC contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Experience working in Central London or on large infrastructure schemes.

You will be commercially astute, confident and capable of managing large civils packages within a fast-paced London project environment.
