Enable Resourcing is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement and provides an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial career on complex infrastructure and structural projects within a well‑established delivery team. You will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of major project packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with budget and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Measurement and valuation of works
- Preparation of applications for payment
- Assessment of subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and CVR preparation
- Managing variations and supporting change control processes
- Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
- Maintaining commercial documentation and records
- Assisting with subcontractor and client negotiations
- Supporting final account preparation and agreement
You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and commercial control across projects.
About You
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction
- Exposure to major civils or structural projects (desirable)
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach
- Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
