The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for the accurate setting out of works across site, ensuring all engineering activities are delivered in line with design specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all setting out duties on site using appropriate surveying equipment, ensuring accuracy of line, level, and positioning for construction works.
  • Establish and maintain site control, ensuring all setting out data is consistent with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct regular checks and quality assurance to verify completed works meet required tolerances and standards.
  • Work closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure works are installed correctly first time and in line with programme requirements.
  • Produce and interpret technical drawings, manage setting out data, and support with material take-offs and site documentation as required.
  • Liaise with design teams and raise RFIs where discrepancies are identified.
  • Maintain accurate records of surveys and as-built information, ensuring all engineering documentation is up to date.
