(35 hours per week/ permanent contract) Operated by ENABLE Glasgow, Fortune Works is one of Scotland’s largest social enterprises which provides meaningful opportunities for people with a learning disability within Glasgow and surrounding areas. The service combines accessible social and enterprising activities with individualised support for people to make a positive contribution to their community.
The Support Assistant duties will include supporting positive person-centred activities that focus on empowering people with a learning disability to play a worthwhile economic role as a valued member of the local community. The successful candidate will provide a high quality of care and support for service users with a range of learning disabilities and will encourage participation in group activities to support people to gain skills and confidence. They will also play a part in the effective operation of a busy service. Most importantly they should have a positive and empowering approach to supporting people with learning disabilities.
