Join a Global Leader in Sustainable Energy at EN Plus. We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales (UK) to join our lean, high-impact UK/EU regional office based in Sevenoaks, Kent. This is a senior commercial leadership role for a high-performing sales professional who combines strong B2B sales capability with genuine technical understanding of EV charging infrastructure, energy systems, and connected hardware.
Your customers are energy utilities, automotive OEMs, electrical wholesalers, and EVSE brand owners — organisations with sophisticated technical requirements. You need to speak their language, understand their infrastructure challenges, and hold credible conversations at both boardroom and engineering level.
This role balances two priorities: winning new business in a rapidly growing UK and European EV charging market, and deepening relationships with an established portfolio of strategic accounts. You will work closely with our UK leadership team, EU Commercial Director, and HQ sales organisation to drive both new customer acquisition and revenue expansion across the portfolio.
Role: Head of Sales (UK)
Location: Remote, UK-based. Bonus if able to work from our Sevenoaks, Kent office at least two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, qualify, and convert new customer opportunities across the UK — targeting energy utilities, automotive OEMs, electrical wholesalers, and EVSE brand owners and manufacturers.
- Lead the commercial side of RFP and tender processes, coordinating technical input from Technical Solution Managers and margin approval from HQ.
- Operate a structured prospect scoring and qualification framework, ensuring sales effort is focused on high-volume, high-value opportunities.
- Collaborate with the EU Commercial Director on C-suite engagement and strategic account acquisition across managed manufacturing-as-a-service, V2G, and DC infrastructure opportunities.
Account Growth & Retention:
- Work alongside the UK leadership team to manage and grow the existing UK account portfolio, ensuring strong retention, satisfaction, and commercial expansion.
- Run Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) across key accounts and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic accounts, driving measurable revenue growth.
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities — including V2G-ready products, DC fast charging, software platform services, and managed service propositions.
Technically Informed Sales Leadership:
- Understand the fundamentals of AC and DC charging architecture, OCPP, energy management, smart charging, V2G, and the regulatory landscape well enough to have credible early-stage commercial conversations.
- Work with Technical Solution Managers, Commercial Director, and HQ sales team to shape proposals and tenders, owning the commercial terms while ensuring the technical solution meets the customer’s infrastructure and requirements.
Marketing, Brand & Market Intelligence:
- Own the planning and execution of UK marketing initiatives in collaboration with the wider team — including events, thought leadership content, digital campaigns, and brand positioning activities that directly support pipeline generation and market visibility.
- Co-chair regular UK/EU sales alignment meetings with the UK leadership team, ensuring transparent pipeline visibility and coordinated account planning between the regional team and HQ sales organisation.
- Contribute market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer requirements back into the product and strategy teams.
Track Record of High Performance:
- Sales Leadership: Minimum 5 years in a senior B2B sales role, ideally in EV charging, energy infrastructure, power electronics, electrical distribution, or a related hardware/technology sector.
- Account Management: Strong track record of growing enterprise accounts, with demonstrable revenue retention and expansion results — ideally within a collaborative team-selling environment.
- Commercial Process: Experience leading or contributing to complex B2B tenders, RFPs, and long-cycle enterprise sales in hardware or infrastructure markets.
- Strong understanding of the UK and European energy landscape — utilities, automotive OEMs, electrical distribution, EVSE brand ecosystem, and the EV charging value chain.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across the UK and EU, and periodically to our headquarters in China.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
High-Visibility Impact: Work in a highly agile UK regional office backed by the massive industrial power of a 450+ person global organisation.
Commercial Leadership: Play a central role in the UK commercial strategy for a fast-growing business with ambitious European expansion plans.
Flexible Working: Remote, UK-based. Bonus if you can be in our Sevenoaks office at least two days per week.
Competitive Package: Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with your expertise.
Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates.
