We have an opportunity available for a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team within our Psychological Wellbeing Service based in Warrington, WA2 7JB. This is a training role within the NHS Talking Therapies programme which involves attending all taught sessions and completing the required self-study days as part of the programme delivered by the education provider. For the remainder of the week, you will work within the service applying and developing the knowledge and skills gained through training.

Salary: £28,392.00 per annum

Hours: 37.5 weekly

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to service referral protocols to make a decision on the suitability of new referrals
  • Assess and support people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery
  • Undertake patient-centred assessments to identify areas where the person wishes to see change
  • Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based, high-volume, low-intensity psychological treatments
  • Produce clear, accurate and professional written correspondence to GPs, referrers and other professionals

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to study successfully at postgraduate level and hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related subject. Applicants must also be able to commit to ongoing learning throughout the programme and demonstrate the ability to apply the National Low Intensity curriculum within their practice. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
