Senior Recovery Worker

We have an opportunity available for a Senior Recovery Worker to join the team at our Lancashire Supported Living Rehabilitation Service, Inspiring Minds based in Burnley, BB11 1UG. The service contains 9 beds and will provide intermediate short term functional rehabilitation support to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum. It is designed to be a personalised, interactive and collaborative process, reflecting the whole person. The service enables individuals to maximise their potential to live a full and active life within their family, social networks, education/training and the workplace where appropriate, in the context of their mental health and promote recovery.

Salary: £20,238.40 per annum

Hours: 28 weekly, working shifts 8am-3pm and 3pm-10pm or 8am-10pm including some weekends. In addition, some sleep in shifts are required and paid extra per night.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a range of recovery focussed interventions to maximise individual and community assets to promote social inclusion, recovery, wellbeing and independence.
• Promote and achieve recovery and social inclusion through offering information, advice and guidance and developing opportunities for service users in areas such as employment, volunteering, health, leisure, wellbeing and education.
• Take on senior tasks & responsibilities as assigned by management to ensure that the service runs effectively day to day.

Qualifications:

• Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this.
• Previous experience of working within a mental health setting and knowledge of understanding and working with people with a variety of complex needs, particularly supporting people who self-harm.
• Experience of administering medication and leading a shift.
• Supervise staff members and delegate responsibilities ensuring values based support is delivered to the highest standard.
