Finance Manager Europe
Location: London. We are looking for an exceptional Finance Manager Europe to take ownership of financial operations across the region. This role is based at EMU’s European HQ in London. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial business at an exciting stage of growth. The brand is present through leading retailers, e-commerce platforms and strategic partners across Europe and beyond.
As Finance Manager Europe, you will be at the heart of the European business, working closely with the regional leadership team to provide the financial insight and operational control that supports the company's continued growth across the region. You will act as a key financial partner to the General Manager Europe, helping translate financial data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions. From analysing customer performance to improving working capital efficiency and strengthening financial processes, you will play a vital role in ensuring the European operation runs smoothly and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts for the European business.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support sales performance, margin management and operational efficiency.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the European region.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and company policies.
Commercial Partnership
- Work closely with the General Manager Europe and leadership team to provide financial insight into sales performance, customer profitability and regional growth opportunities.
- Support decision-making around pricing, credit risk and customer management.
Financial Operations & Control
- Take full ownership of the European credit control function.
- Manage the European debtor book, ensuring timely collections and maintaining low debtor days.
- Perform credit checks for new customers, establish credit limits and review existing customer credit terms.
- Post and allocate customer payments accurately and efficiently.
Accounts Payable & Cash Management
- Full responsibility for the European accounts payable function.
- Prepare daily cash-flow reports and oversee regional cash management.
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of all banking activity.
- Lead and support a team of two Customer Service Managers, ensuring alignment between financial processes, order management and customer service standards.
- Foster strong collaboration between finance, sales and customer service to ensure seamless operational execution.
Process Improvement
- Continuously review financial processes to improve efficiency, transparency and reporting quality.
- Implement best practices in credit control, financial reporting and cash management.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager role in close involvement with logistics & shipping ideally within consumer goods, wholesale, or fashion/lifestyle industries.
- Love or strong interest in fashion.
- Strong understanding of credit control, cash flow management and accounts payable processes.
- Experience managing financial operations within an international or multi-market environment.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to partner effectively with sales and operational teams.
- Ideally experience leading or mentoring team members.
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
