To support our growth we are seeking a proactive and highly organised Marketing & Events Officer based in the UK. The ideal candidate will support the marketing department by managing exhibitions, events, merchandise, and other marketing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic individual, ideally with experience in event planning, logistics, and brand representation, ensuring smooth execution of marketing campaigns and corporate events. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with the wider marketing team, sales teams, and external suppliers to ensure events are professionally executed, well-promoted, and aligned with brand and business objectives.
General Functional Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination
- Identify, plan and organise company events, trade shows, and exhibitions that support the group's exhibition calendar, client engagement and brand presence.
- Develop and manage detailed event plans, including timelines, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Produce comprehensive event briefing packs and ensure compliance with external event regulations, legislation, and venue processes.
- Liaise with and manage external suppliers, venue operators, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
- Oversee all logistical arrangements, including stand build, catering, transportation, accommodation, and on-site requirements.
- Manage on-site event delivery, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on stand graphics, branding, merchandise, and promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Create and manage event-related email communications, including save-the-date announcements, invitations, reminders, and post-event follow-up campaigns.
- Coordinate attendee lists, registrations, and CRM data to support targeted communications and effective follow-up.
- Support pre- and post-event marketing and PR activity to maximise event visibility and engagement.
- Conduct post-event analysis and reporting, including email performance, lead quality, engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
- Event Selection Support
- Research industry events and exhibitions and provide input on which ones may be relevant to attend.
- Share observations on competitor presence, event quality, and audience relevance.
- Support the marketing team with information and recommendations based on hands-on experience at events.
- Merchandise and Branding Coordination
- Oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of promotional merchandise.
- Ensure branding consistency across all materials and event displays.
- Work with suppliers to design and produce high-quality branded merchandise.
- Budget Management
- Monitor event budgets and ensure expenditures remain within limits.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Track event metrics such as attendance, engagement, and financial performance.
- Conduct customer surveys to inform further activity.
- Compile and present event reports to management.
- Experience: Previous experience in event planning or a related field, preferably in a corporate setting.
