We are now looking for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our production team at our Sparkford site.
This is an important role within the business, as welding and fabrication form a critical part of many of our assemblies. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and structures, working accurately from technical drawings and specifications.

The Role
As a TIG Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for cutting, preparing, assembling and joining metal components through fusion welding. You will work with a variety of materials and welding equipment, ensuring components are manufactured safely, accurately and efficiently and to the required specification.
What You Will Be Doing
- TIG welding and fabricating components and assemblies.
- Working primarily with aluminium and stainless steel.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Taking and interpreting measurements accurately.
- Selecting the appropriate welding equipment and method for each job.
- Setting up and preparing components for welding.
- Cutting materials to the required dimensions using powered saws and other appropriate equipment.
- Aligning and positioning components accurately prior to welding.
- Producing high-quality welds using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Ensuring finished assemblies meet required quality standards.
- Maintaining welding equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Completing internal Work Orders clearly and accurately using the company ERP system.
- Following production schedules and Work to Lists.
- Working proactively both independently and as part of a team to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Supporting continuous improvement of welding and fabrication methods.
- Handling materials safely, including the use of manual pallet trucks. Training will be provided.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised welding area.
- Assisting elsewhere within the Production facility when required.
- Following all company health and safety procedures and ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced welder who takes pride in their work and has a strong eye for detail.

- Proven experience in TIG welding.
- Experience working with aluminium and stainless steel.
- Experience in fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, align and assemble components.
- Good understanding of welding techniques and appropriate materials.
- Experience working with manual and mechanical welding equipment.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in English.
Desirable
- Experience working with mild steel.
- Knowledge of metallurgy.
- Professional welding qualifications or certifications.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and reliable, with a positive attitude and a genuine pride in their work. You will be able to work to a high standard while maintaining accuracy and consistency, even when working to deadlines. A steady hand, good attention to detail and a problem-solving approach are essential for this role. You will also be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider production team, contributing ideas and helping to improve productivity and efficiency. Punctuality and excellent attendance are important, as you will play a key role in keeping production schedules on track.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
