Our success is built on the skill, dedication, and teamwork of our people and now we are looking for a Planner / Senior Project Planner / Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of our projects across Scotland.
This is a fantastic next step for an experienced Project Planner or an M&E Project Manager or Contracts Manager who’s used to running their own programmes, understands the construction process and wants to take their planning expertise further. This role can be based at our following office locations: Uddingston, Edinburgh, Dundee, Newcastle or Leeds.
The Role
As Senior Project Planner, you’ll help shape how our projects are delivered, turning plans into progress. You’ll be involved from pre-construction through to completion, providing structure and insight that keep our teams and clients aligned every step of the way.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to develop and lead robust project programmes.
- Establish fully linked baseline programmes at project start up and ensure compliance with all planning standards and procedures.
- Track and report on progress, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Keep project programmes resourced, realistic and responsive to change.
- Work hand-in-hand with our operational teams through meetings and progress reporting to ensure delivery stays on track.
- Share your knowledge through coaching and supporting others involved in planning.
- Contribute to the success of new bids and tenders where your expertise adds real value.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and real passion for delivery. You’ll have:
- Proven experience as a Project Planner with an MEP background or a Project Manager or Contracts Manager who is used to running their own programmes.
- A strong understanding of project planning methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Proficiency with Asta Powerproject (or similar software).
- The confidence to communicate effectively with teams at all levels.
- A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to help projects succeed.
