At Emtec Building Services, we’re continuing to grow our delivery teams to support an exciting and varied pipeline of projects across Scotland. As a nationwide M&E contractor with a strong in-house workforce, we’re now looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join us and play a key role on some genuinely interesting projects. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role where you’ll be trusted to lead, coordinate and deliver with the backing of a supportive, experienced business behind you.
The Role
As Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the successful day‑to‑day delivery of mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of projects from start through to completion.
- Supervising and coordinating on‑site operatives and subcontractors.
- Ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with programme and budget.
- Upholding all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times.
- Attending and contributing to client, consultant, and main contractor meetings.
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and regular quality and safety inspections.
- Supporting workforce planning and allocation of resources on site.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and site teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience supervising mechanical works on construction projects, ideally within an M&E contracting environment.
- Confident working independently, managing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Practical problem‑solver with sound decision‑making ability.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages.
- SSSTS Health & Safety qualification (essential).
