Emtec Building Services, part of the Sauter Group, is a national M&E contractor with a skilled in-house team of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing specialists. We prioritize excellence in our operations, ensuring efficient and customer-focused service delivery. As a national contractor with a strong local presence, we have a central commercial function supporting our operations and working seamlessly with our delivery teams and regional businesses. We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Edinburgh.

The Role

As a key member of our commercial team, you will oversee commercial control and implement best practices. Collaborating closely with operational teams will be essential to our success.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Strong MEP background (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
  • Confident, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent numerical, interpersonal, communication, and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Commercially aware, enthusiastic, practical, and detail-oriented
  • Familiar with the Construction Act and standard forms of contract/sub-contract, typically SBCC/NEC
  • A full UK driving license is essential
