Location: Uddingston. Emtec Utility Services is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join us as we grow across the UK’s renewable and infrastructure sectors. You’ll work with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams, becoming the commercial lead across multiple projects to help ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with maximum impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing commercial and contractual advice across infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
  • Maintaining accurate financial control systems, producing monthly cost/value reconciliations.
  • Maximising valuations and ensuring timely certification and payments.
  • Preparing and managing cashflows, ensuring financial health of projects.
  • Monitoring site progress and managing notices under contract procedures.
  • Managing subcontractors, from drafting orders through to valuing works.
  • Handling contractual matters including EOTs, delays, and programme monitoring.

What We’re Looking For

  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience working with standard forms of contract.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience in construction, civils, infrastructure.
