We are now recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Leeds. As an Electrical Estimator you’ll play a key role in supporting our business development activity across a range of projects, from multi‑site programmes to standalone contracts, predominantly within the electrical sector, with values up to £10M.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the approvals process and ensuring all work aligns with company procedures.
- Preparing detailed and analytical estimates within agreed timeframes.
- Playing an active role in risk assessments across all bids.
- Ensuring all tenders receive thorough review by the Estimating Lead or Directors.
- Developing and maintaining a robust library of outputs and pricing data.
- Assisting with bid preparation across the wider business when required.
- Acting as bid manager for tenders, depending on their value and complexity.
- Leading and contributing to the preparation and submission of estimates and tenders.
- Applying your technical expertise to deliver accurate, high‑quality estimates.
- Bringing forward ideas and solutions to support business development activity.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a similar role within an M&E environment.
- Strong ability to produce accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates.
- Confident in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Solid knowledge of electrical installations and construction methods.
- Ability to evaluate bids from subcontractors and clients.
- Skilled in creating project budgets and cost plans.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimation software (e.g., Trimble).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
