We are currently seeking a Fabrication Manager to join our team to help us deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions for our clients.
If you are a Mechanical Engineer looking to step away from site-based travel, or you’re already managing fabrication teams and want to be part of something forward thinking then this could be a great fit.
You’ll work closely with out digital and technical teams (based at the same location) managing everything from early-stage planning through to fabrication and delivery. It’s a hands on, collaborative role in a busy environment
The Role
- Overseeing project budgets, production schedules and resources.
- Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Lead, planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities from concept to delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver high quality projects.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
- Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
- Maintain compliance with BSEN1090 and ENISO3834
- Identify risk and put plans in place to keep things on track.
What you will need to succeed
- A Mechanical Engineer or Fabrication Manager with experience in steel fabrication and modular / off site builds.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, OSM products and techniques and industry standards.
- A solid understanding of steelwork processes, techniques, and regulations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) experience, and confident managing people performance and conflict.
- Excellent communication with a customer focused mind set.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel.
- A Full IK Driving Licence
It would be great if you
- Are familiar with AutoCAD Packages
- Have knowledge of structural loads and calculations.
- Have experience of estimation
