We’re now looking for Apprentice Electricians to join our Dundee team. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gain hands on site experience, and build a long-term career in the electrical trade within a supportive, well-established business.
The Role
As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll learn the trade from the ground up, working alongside experienced electricians on live projects while completing your modern apprenticeship. You’ll:
- Work under the supervision of qualified electricians, gaining practical, on-site experience
- Attend college on block release to gain a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 7
- Assist with basic electrical tasks, tool handling, preparing work areas and performing simpler electrical tasks under guidance
- Learn how to read and interpret drawings, specifications and schematics
- Work safely as part of a wider site team, including other trades and apprentices
This apprenticeship typically takes 4-5 years, leading to your Electrical Gold Grade Card and a recognised trade qualification.
What You Will Need
- Nat 5 or equivalent in English, Math’s (Science desirable)
- An Electrical Pre-‘Apprenticeship’ would be advantageous, but not essential
- A genuine interest in the electrical trade and a strong willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- A positive attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to site locations
