We’re looking for a skilled Coded Welder to join our growing Off‑Site Manufacturing team at Emtec Building Services, based at our manufacturing facility in Coatbridge. This is a hands‑on role where precision, teamwork and quality really matter. You’ll play an important part in delivering high‑spec modular builds for a wide range of projects across the UK, working as part of a team that takes real pride in doing things properly.
4‑day working week: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 5pm
The Role
As a Coded Welder, you’ll be responsible for producing high‑quality welding and fabrication work to exacting standards, helping us deliver modular plantrooms and off‑site manufacturing solutions safely, efficiently and with a strong focus on quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out high‑quality TIG, MIG and Electrode welding to NDT‑tested standards
- Interpreting detailed fabrication drawings and following the correct welding procedures
- Supporting the workshop team with installs, including pumps, heating accessories and associated components
- Communicating progress updates and quality checks to the Workshop Supervisor
- Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment
- Completing QA documentation for all tasks undertaken
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified welder with experience working to BS ISO 15614‑2, BS EN287 or similar standards
- Good knowledge of plantroom pipework and HVAC systems
- Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
- Flexibility to travel for occasional site‑based work if required
- ECS/CSCS card
