The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our mobile team in the Manchester area. In this position you'll provide essential maintenance services for our clients at their sites, with a company vehicle provided.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out the Installation, servicing, repair and planned preventative maintenance of commercial air conditioning systems.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health and Safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • Working closely with the Contract Manager, Supervisor, helpdesk and wider engineering team to deliver an excellent service.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, providing a professional service at all times.
  • Identifying repair requirements and preparing quotations when required.
  • Keeping up to date with industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.

What we are looking for

  • We're looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work and enjoys building strong relationships with clients.
  • You’ll have City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent), FGAS 2079 certification and IPAF qualification.
  • Experience installing, servicing and repairing commercial air conditioning systems, including VRF units.
  • A good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance within commercial environments.
  • A Full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work safely at height, in confined spaces and carry out manual handling tasks.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
