As our project portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and play a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered successfully from both a commercial and financial perspective. As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are commercially robust, financially controlled and positioned for success.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the wider commercial team, providing valuable insight, managing risk, protecting margins and supporting project delivery from award through to completion. Whether it's producing accurate forecasts, managing subcontractors, valuing variations or supporting NEC contract administration, you'll be a trusted commercial partner helping our teams make informed decisions every step of the way.
- Managing project costs, valuations and overall commercial performance
- Supporting the administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events and change management
- Valuing and managing variations and additional works
- Reviewing and authorising subcontractor applications and payments
- Monitoring project forecasts and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Building positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation
We're looking for someone who enjoys being close to projects, understands the importance of commercial control and takes pride in delivering high quality work. Whether you're already working within renewables or looking to bring your Quantity Surveying experience from construction, engineering, utilities or infrastructure into a fast-growing sector, we'd love to hear from you.
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within renewable energy, construction, engineering or Infrastructure
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Experience preparing CVRs, forecasts and project cost reports
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial administration principles
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and supplier relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and commercial management systems
