As a HVAC Service Engineer at Emtec Climate Solutions, you will be responsible for keeping our customers' HVAC systems performing at their best. From preventative maintenance to urgent breakdown responses, you will work across a variety of systems including splits, VRV/F, chillers, heat pumps, AHUs and close control units. You will be part of a growing, technically skilled team, with the tools, training, and support to deliver a high-quality service that keeps our customers coming back. This is a field-based role across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Greater Liverpool, and may require occasional overnight stays across nationwide locations. This position also requires an Enhanced DBS check to be completed.
What you will be doing:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems including splits, VRV/VRF, chillers, heat pumps, AHUs and close control units.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently in live environments.
- Respond to reactive breakdown callouts and restore systems with minimal downtime.
- Replace faulty components safely and in line with compliance standards.
- Complete leak checks, performance inspections and required service documentation.
- Communicate clearly with customers and site contacts while maintaining a professional approach.
- Provide recommendations to improve system reliability and performance.
- Follow all health & safety requirements including RAMS, permits and site procedures.
- Travel to sites nationwide, with occasional overnight stays.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years experience in commercial servicing and maintenance of HVAC systems, including AC, VRV/F, AHUs and chillers.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in live environments.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and Compliance regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and digital job management tools.
- A basic understanding of electrics and controls would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.
Essential qualifications required:
- Possession of a valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification (City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- CITB Pipework and Brazing.
