EMT Talent is working with an established engineering business in Sheffield to appoint a Structural Technician to join their growing team. We are looking to speak with Structural Technicians, or Graduates with relevant CAD / Revit experience, who have an interest in structural design and building structures projects. This role offers excellent progression, structured development support, and the opportunity to work within a highly supportive and technically strong engineering team.

The Role:

You will be involved in the production and development of structural drawings and models, working closely with engineers and other technicians to support the delivery of building structures projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing structural drawings and models using Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Supporting the development of design drawings including plans, sections and details
  • Working from engineer sketches and mark-ups to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Assisting with project delivery across a range of building structures projects
  • Coordinating drawings with engineers and other disciplines
  • Maintaining drawing standards and ensuring accuracy and quality of work
  • Supporting project teams throughout design stages

About You:

  • BSc / HNC/ HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural, Construction or related field (or working towards)
  • Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD (graduates with relevant CAD exposure considered)
  • An interest in structural design and building structures
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and developing approach to technical work
