EMT Talent is working with an established engineering company in Sheffield to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. We are looking to speak with Structural Engineers who have experience in structural design and delivery across building structures projects. This role offers excellent progression, structured chartership support, and the opportunity to work within a highly supportive and technically strong engineering team. The Role: You will be involved in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, working within a collaborative team environment and supporting senior engineers while helping develop junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of steel, reinforced concrete, portal frame and traditional structures
- Structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software
- Production and checking of engineering drawings and details
- Preparation of technical reports and design documentation
- Project delivery from concept through to completion
- Supporting junior engineers
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Client and design team meetings
- Ensuring practical, efficient and buildable designs
About You:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng)
- Experience in a structural engineering consultancy
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
- Experience with structural design software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Chartership progression or ambition to achieve it
