We support skilled Design Engineers in finding roles that genuinely align with their experience, interests, and long-term career direction.
We are currently recruiting for hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer permanent positions within well-established manufacturers of custom-built and bespoke machinery. These roles typically involve working across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to manufacture, build and installation.
You will be responsible for:
- Producing detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs for bespoke machinery and equipment
- Working closely with internal engineering, production, and project teams
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure clear technical delivery
- Supporting design improvements, standardisation, and optimisation of existing systems
- Contributing to problem-solving and engineering development discussions
What our clients are looking for:
- Mechanical design within machinery, automation, or special purpose equipment
- Strong CAD capability (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Full lifecycle design from concept through to manufacture
- Practical understanding of fabrication, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints
- Confident communication with internal teams and customers
- Strong problem-solving ability and hands-on engineering mindset
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
