Emsans are working with a key client based in Berkshire who is seeking a Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Construction / fit-out planning experience
- Strong experience with NEC contracts
- Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera (P6)
- Security clearance preferred at DV level (a British passport holder is desirable, due to SC checks typically requiring this) – ideally candidates should have been in scope for checks over 10 years
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Record site activities and progress; update and maintain the project schedule using accurate progress data.
- Build and maintain logically linked schedules, including activity coding, resource loading, and cost data.
- Produce schedule updates, forecasts, S-curves, and logic traces.
- Support the Senior Planner in producing tender programmes, aligned to contractual requirements (including NEC).
- Ensure schedule changes are implemented effectively and remain aligned with project objectives.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare and deliver clear reports to support schedule updates and progress reviews.
- Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings to support effective stakeholder management.
- Provide early warnings on schedule risks, delays, and critical activities.
- Maintain accurate schedule information for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring programme alignment.
Risk & Controls
- Support project controls activities, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and trend analysis.
