Emsans are currently working with a key client who is looking for a Planning Manager to join their expanding team. They specialise in delivering full project life cycle collaboration, supporting clients from early-stage planning and tendering through to project delivery and delay analysis.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Planning Manager to lead planning and scheduling functions across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role is critical in ensuring robust project controls, accurate forecasting, and effective delay analysis to support successful project delivery and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and management of project schedules using Primavera P6
- Oversee planning activities across the full project life cycle, from concept to completion
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated planning strategies
- Prepare and review tender programmes, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project constraints
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Conduct delay analysis and produce detailed reports to support claims and dispute resolution
- Provide expert advice on planning methodologies, construction sequencing, and commissioning strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project controls
- Mentor and support junior planners within the team
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planning Manager or Senior Planner using Primavera P6
- Strong background in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated expertise in delay analysis and claims support
- In-depth understanding of project life cycle phases and planning methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
