MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Responsible for receiving of parts stocks, branch inventory control, picking of customer orders for delivery, inter-branch movements and customer and supplier collections. Managing a safe working environment and maintaining high housekeeping standards. Meeting or exceeding KPIs in terms stock accuracy, condition, and service measures, in line with branch and customer requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive parts from supplier and Interbranch transfer and ensure delivery against purchase orders is correct. Responsible for reporting receipt discrepancies to source for investigation.
- Check quality of product and raise with Branch Manager any discrepancies or damage of items.
- In line with purchase order details place product in stock location or for customer delivery in a timely manner in line with branch/customer requirements.
- Correctly pick customer and interbranch orders against pick note ready for dispatch.
- Ensure pick notes confirmed to generate invoice production.
- Responsible for investigating customer or internal branch transfer stock receipt queries within 24hrs of advice, reporting findings to the branch manager.
- External deliveries are packaged and secured in line with company guidelines to protect against potential damage to goods and ensure safe transit/delivery to customers.
- Responsible for the planning of delivery orders in InstaDispatch and managing fleet compliance reporting.
- Responsible to produce customer invoices and advice notes.
- Ensure vehicle batteries are charged and tested before point of sale/despatch.
- Ensure all surcharge products are correctly labelled and returned to the supplier for credit.
- Ensure waste product, e.g., cardboard packaging, is disposed of correctly in line with health & safety and waste management compliance.
- Responsible for cycle and perpetual stock counts are carried out as per branch schedules and reporting of variances/investigation to branch manager.
- Work in conjunction with branch management to prepare for and manage annual branch stock take according to company procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring regular inspection of all manual handling equipment according to company procedures and safe for use, raising any defects with the Branch Manager for immediate attention.
- Responsible for meeting all branch and company KPIs.
- Locking and unlocking of premises as and when required.
- Responsible for ensuring stores, internal/extremal communal areas are maintained to a high housekeeping standard, raising any issues with the Branch Manager for attention.
- Required to undertake deliveries as and when required.
- Comply with the Company’s requirements in respect of health & safety compliance including the carrying out of risk assessments and the wearing of PPE, including all staff and visitors complying with expected standards.
- Any other duties reasonable requested by the branch management that ensures the smooth operation of the branch/warehouse.
KEY SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of warehouse management and parts experience an advantage but not essential.
- Proven Supervisory/Managerial skills.
- Literate in computer system skills, experience of warehouse management systems an advantage.
