We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Visual Merchandising Communications Coordinator to join us on our exciting journey to improve our in-store retail experience. Mountain Warehouse has been growing consistently over the years with over 400 stores across 3 brands covering 9 countries. This is an exciting time to join our business during its growth period.

We are looking for an experienced Visual Merchandising Coordinator who is commercially minded with the ability to coach, train, inspire and clearly communicate the Mountain Warehouse Visual Merchandising vision across all of our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • VM Strategy
    • Work with the Commercial Visual Manager to create the current and future VM strategies.
    • Use feedback and learnings from previous seasons to propose new ideas to continue to improve sales density and the customer shopping experience in store.
    • Bring creative ideas to the table, with awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
    • Train and roll out these strategies through the use of communications with the wider VM team and store guidelines.
  • VM Coordination
    • Drive overall communication with the Field and Regional VM teams.
    • Conduct regular meetings and catch ups with the Field and Regional VM teams ensuring the teams have all required information to implement guidelines and campaigns in store.
    • Collate feedback from guideline and campaign implementation to feed into future strategies and communications.
  • Promotions
    • Actively feed into Print briefing meetings to ensure all required POS is created for in-store promotions.
    • Understand the promotional strategy and identify commercial ways to engage our customers in the most effective way.
    • Review weekly promotional guidelines in store promotions.
  • Campaigns
    • Actively feed into Campaign planning – driving the VM strategy and ensuring everything is included that is required to deliver it.
    • Manage the VM critical path for the campaign launch ensuring each step is delivered on time.
    • Work cross functionally to ensure delivery of the campaign is achievable and manageable for stores.
    • Ensure guidelines and communication is regionally specific and clear and concise for stores to deliver great implementation.
    • Work collaboratively with the Promotions Coordinator and Campaign Marketing Manager to deliver the final store communications.
  • Team Management
    • Manage the Visual Merchandising Communications Assistant: outlining clear objectives and assessing outcomes, overseeing delivery of their remit, reviewing performance, and ensuring training & development objectives are met.
  • Store Visits
    • Conduct monthly store visits – taking learnings and next steps, feeding back to the wider Commercial team and actioning in future VM strategies.

We would like to meet someone who is:

  • A confident leader with strong communication skills who can coach, train, and inspire teams of all levels to work towards visual excellence.
  • Has high standards with an eye for detail and a determination to get the job done and done well.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Publisher.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • Previous experience of introducing AI tools for VM preferable.
