Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an Experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our expanding Asbestos Consultancy team.
About the Role
As part of our experienced surveying team, you’ll carry out a range of asbestos surveys for an established and diverse portfolio of clients across the UK. Our client base includes Housing Associations, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, education providers, commercial organisations, national retailers and industrial clients. You’ll work on a varied range of properties and projects, delivering high‑quality surveys and reports that meet the standards our clients have come to expect from EMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Management and Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveys in accordance with HSG264 guidance.
- Identify asbestos‑containing materials and accurately assess their condition.
- Produce clear, accurate and professional survey reports.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent EMS professionally on site.
- Work independently whilst also supporting colleagues across the wider consultancy team.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with UKAS procedures and company quality systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveys.
- Sound knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
- Experience working within a UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy.
- Experience working within a variety of sectors including domestic, commercial, industrial, retail and housing.
- Additional BOHS qualifications such as P403/P404.
