We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Manager / Development Manager to join our team. This role acts as the crucial link between our contractor development team, the accounts team, and the Head of Digital, ensuring that projects run smoothly, communication flows clearly, and nothing falls through the cracks. You will take ownership of the project delivery lifecycle, translating client requirements into clear development briefs, tracking progress, and keeping all stakeholders informed. You’ll be the person who ensures our developers have what they need to do great work and that our clients receive timely, high-quality results. While hands‑on development experience is not required, a solid understanding and awareness of the development process, tools, and systems used in web development is essential. You should be comfortable speaking the language of developers and able to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project delivery: Ensure all development projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standard.
  • People management: Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to developers and contractors, including task allocation, setting clear expectations, removing obstacles, supporting performance and development, and fostering a collaborative, accountable team culture.
  • Ticket management: Track progress of development tickets across the team, ensuring priorities are clear and blockers are resolved promptly.
  • Client and Account Manager translation: Act as the bridge between clients, account managers and developers. Translating client needs, feedback, and requirements into clear, actionable development briefs.
  • Stakeholder communication: Keep all stakeholders (accounts team, Head of Digital, clients, and developers) regularly informed of project progress, risks, and timelines.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain reports on team progress, project status, and delivery metrics to support informed decision‑making.
  • Process management: Establish and maintain efficient workflows between the accounts team, development contractors, and leadership to minimise miscommunication and delays.
