Our client is seeking an experienced Paediatric ADHD Practitioner to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality private neurodevelopmental services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with experience in assessing and managing ADHD in children and young people to work within a well-established private outpatient service committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care.
The Role
You will play a key role in providing comprehensive ADHD assessments, diagnosis (where within your professional scope of practice), treatment planning and ongoing management for children and adolescents referred to the service.
Working alongside Consultant Paediatricians and allied health professionals, you will support children, young people and their families from assessment through to ongoing treatment and review.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for
- Conducting comprehensive ADHD assessments for children and adolescents.
- Obtaining detailed developmental, educational, behavioural and medical histories.
- Reviewing information from parents, schools and other professionals.
- Assessing for co-existing neurodevelopmental, behavioural and mental health conditions.
- Producing high-quality clinical assessment and diagnostic reports.
- Explaining assessment outcomes and management options to families.
- Developing individualised care plans.
- Providing post-diagnostic support, parent education and behavioural interventions.
- Liaising with schools, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- Managing an ongoing caseload, including review appointments and monitoring outcomes.
Where appropriately qualified and working within agreed governance arrangements, you may also:
- Initiate and titrate ADHD medication.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adverse effects.
- Undertake physical monitoring, including blood pressure, pulse, height and weight.
- Prescribe independently where professionally authorised.
- Participate in shared-care arrangements with General Practitioners.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced clinician who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with ADHD.

- A Consultant Paediatrician or Medical Practitioner with current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Experienced in ADHD assessment and the management of neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Confident working autonomously whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Skilled in clinical assessment, report writing and communicating sensitively with children, young people and their families.
